微软MapPoint是微软经年打造、允许用户观看、编辑和集成地图的技术和软件的一个独特作品。

MapPoint 意欲为商业用户，因为它包括先进的功能，譬如与微软Office整合，并且从微软Excel在一张被创造的地图上显示趋向和资料。

MapPoint技术用在：

• 终端用户软件：
  • MapPoint (为北美和西欧商业用户)
  • AutoRoute (为西欧家庭和商业用户)，2007版为最后一个版本。
  • 微软Streets and Trips (为北美一般家庭用户。和MapPoint相比较，少了商业分析的功能。)

微软MapPoint每年更新。最新版本为MapPoint 2007。该软件支援三个平台：Pocket PC, SmartPhone, Windows。
