美國線上公司（American Online，AOL），是美國時代華納的子公司，著名的網際網路服務提供商。

歷史

今天的美國線上，源自20世紀80年代的一家計算機服務公司--Control Video,一度陷入財政危機，後來一家電腦公司希望為它的Commodore用戶提供線上服務，Control Video公司提供了此服務，並擺脫財務困境，後改名為昆騰電腦公司(Quantum Computer Services)。昆騰為Commodore商務機設計的撥號網路Q-link1985年上市，與Tandy公司合作的PC-link也在1989年上市。1989年10月，公司將American Online服務引入Macintosh和AplleⅡ，其DOS版本則于1991年2月上市。

後來蘋果公司撤除交易，昆騰公司決定將其所有網路服務重新命名為Online American，後改名為American Online(由Case舉辦的一次征名大賽而來)。

1998年收購Compu Serve ，1999年收購網景公司。

在2000年美國線上和時代華納（Time Warner）宣布計劃合併，2001年1月11日該交易被聯邦貿易委員會（Federal Trade Commission）證實。合併及以後的運作的信息見時代華納。
